Artist Geoffrey Farmer Redirects Hidden Camera’s New Music Video

By Jessica · On September 5, 2016

If you follow Canadian artist Geoffrey Farmer on Instagram (@anhourbeforesleep), you’ll be familiar with the found footage clip style of his latest “redirected” music video for The Hidden Cameras. It’s a dreamy collage of archival footage that compliments the melancholic, yet upbeat track “The Day I Left Home”. Bursts of snow, anatomy tutorials and old timey choreographed dance scenes are blended together for an effect that lets you both appreciate the visual art and focus on lead singer Joel Gibb’s lyrics. It’s a taste of things to come for Farmer, who will be representing Canada in 2017’s Venice Biennale.

Watch the music video for “The Day I Left Home” below and check out hiddencameras.com for a full list of tour dates this fall.
